Equus – One Act Play

Staff

Equus is a play by Peter Shaffer written in 1973, telling the story of a psychiatrist who attempts to treat a young man who has a pathological religious fascination with horses.

“The Ball High Theater Arts Department and their company at the UIL One Act Play “Equus” enjoyed a tremendously successful run during the recent contest season,” said Ball High theater teacher Bill Nielan. “They advanced easily past the District and Bi-District rounds of competition, ending their run just short of Region with an Alternate Placement at the Area contest. This places them in the top eight schools in the southeast Texas region.”
