Interact Club: Something for Everyone

Taylor Albert, Reporter

Ball High has an assortment of different clubs to join throughout the year. One of them is Interact, a volunteer/ service-based community at Ball High School. Their motto emphasizes their purpose, “Service Over Self”.

On January 6th, the clubs’ officers attended Rotary Youth Leadership Assc., which lasted until Sunday, January 8th. RYLA is a youth leadership organization held by the world-wide Rotary Club, and Interact is a part of the Rotary Club’s programs that assist people.

At RYLA, the officers engaged in a community of people who serve others in their communities all over Texas. During that weekend, activities ranged from trusting others to catch one another from a high trust fall, to deciding if certain situations were ethical or not. Demetress Harrell, governor of district 5910, CEO, and Rotarian was also there to speak about Rotary and what the club does.
