Ball High tenth grader Jaeda Daniels won the Optimist Club of Galveston Noon’s Essay Contest writing about “Who Brings Out the Optimist in You.” Daniels received $250 and her essay will advance to the district contest to compete for a $2,5000 college scholarship. In addition, the Optimist Club of Galveston Noon recognized her at their luncheon in March. Her essay was chosen out of 41 citywide entries by the Optimist Club.
