As the presidential election rapidly approaches, my support continues to lean toward Kamala Harris. I examined the policies and ideas of Kamala Harris compared to Donald Trump and Harris wins my fervent support.
Harris immersed herself in women’s rights and not only is she speaking about women’s rights, but she’s also leading the charge for women’s reproductive rights.
On March 14th Harris toured a Minnesota Abortion Clinic as a part of the Right for Reproductive Freedoms” tour. She took the lead of abortion rights, and as a US senator in the 115th and 116th Congress she achieved the passage of the Uterine Fibroid Research and Education Act. This bill directs the Department of Health and Human Services to expand research on, and take other actions to address, uterine fibroids.
The Black Maternal Health Momnibus Act she sponsored directs multi-agency efforts to improve maternal health, particularly among ethnic minority groups, veterans, and other vulnerable populations. It also addresses maternal health issues related to COVID-19.
Donald Trump himself thought Harris made a great candidate and contributed $5,000 to Harris’ previous campaigns for the Senate. In 2011 Ivanka Trump donated another $1,000 when Harris became a California Senator.
Harris said she supports Israel and their continuous war in the Middle East against the Arab and Persians who seek to destroy Israel. “Desperate, hungry people fleeing for safety, over and over again. The scale of suffering is heartbreaking.” That’s why I’m voting for Kamala Harris.
