On October 3rd of 2024 Ball High School’s NTHS, National Technical Honor Society, inducted eleven new members into their program. The service, held in the auditorium after school, flowed smoothly because of the rehearsals practiced all throughout the school day.
NTHS required members to attend the induction event, so the audience consisted of past inductees to proudly support their new fellow members. NTHS, sponsored by Mr. Edmund Hendon and described by Ball High’s website as, “An educational non-profit that exists to honor, recognize, and empower students and teachers in Career & Technical Education,” and credited with many achievements.
“NTHS honors the achievements of top CTE students, provides close to $300,000 in scholarships annually, and strives to help connect education and industry to build a highly skilled workforce,” according to their website. The ceremony was brisk but honorable and followed with cookies and lemonade for all!
Senior Anthony Prieto, president of the NTHS and junior Danielle Garcia , vice president both gave two inspirational quotes saying, “Our goal is to expand and help others, creating a great impact to the world,” and “As vice president of NTHS, my goal is to make sure that the society is in good hands.”
