The board of directors of the Mary Moody Northern Endowment wants to recognize students who choose to make kindness a part of their everyday life.
According to Betty Massey, the Executive Director of “the Mary Moody Northern Endowment wants to find young people who choose to treat family and friends with respect and compassion, and they hope to identify those students who choose to be kind repeatedly.”
Massey states that the program “is not about grades or athletic proudness, this program is all about character.”
Students who participate in this program will receive a $250 check and “kindness pays swag”. Graduating seniors are eligible to interview for a $10,000 scholarship to further their post-secondary education. “Literally kindness will pay,” said Massey.
