Eureka! We finally found the mother load. The Tors hosted the Waltrip Rams in the first round of the 2024 UIL Texas Football State Championship, and clawed out a 28-14 win. After nine years Ball High finally got past their first round opponent.
QB Kyden Baker got the party started with a seven-yard completion to Juwaan Woodbury for the first score in the game. RB Arentheis Winn continued the party, rushing into the endzone for another Tors’ touchdown. WR London Deyon ended the party with two receiving touchdowns from Kyden Barker.
The Tors only scored in the 1st half because Waltrip buckled down in the second half, the Tors defense stepped up when the offense couldn’t reach the endzone, holding Waltrip to only two scores in the game, adding an interception and two forced fumbles
