Ringing in the holiday season, Channel 13 News and Ball High’s National Honors Society sponsored their annual “Share Your Holidays” food drive, hosted in the Ball High Library on December third.
Mario’s Seawall Italian Restaurant provided food for the dozens of volunteers who spent hours packing over 40,000 thousand bags of food for Galveston County Foodbank.
Volunteers packed the library, and in front of the high school on Ave. O, Ball High’s Band, Choir, Tornettes, Hispanic Dance, Cheer and Central Middle School’s Dancing Dolls provided entertainment despite the freezing weather, cheerfully inspiring the volunteers and infusing them with the Christmas spirit.
A huge thanks to First Lutheran Galveston, Galveston GISD Superintendent Mathew Neighbors and GISD Communication director Mike Dudas, and Channel 13 for promoting the wildly successful food drive, and to everyone who put in the hard work and dedication for an amazing and successful food drive, well see you next year!
