Nancy Roman, AKA, The Mother of Hubble, created the intriguing idea of the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, which will soon help scientists understand life beyond earth by revealing untold cosmic objects, observing planets by the thousands, galaxies by the millions, and stars by the billions.
In October 2024, The Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope passed the Spin test, a test to evaluate the structural integrity and robustness of high-speed rotating parts. The telescope passing this test brings us satisfaction knowing that it can survive against gravitational forces during the launch and solar radiation in space.
