The list of former Ball High students making a statement in the pros continues to grow. Ball High graduate and Philadelphia Eagle Tristin McCollum played in the Super Bowl this past weekend and took care of business, bringing home a Super Bowl victory.
He joined a long list of Ball High alumni to play in the Super Bowl. Tristin faced his twin brother Zyon in the NFL playoffs last year when Zyon’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers knocked Tristin’s Eagles out of the playoffs, the first time in NFL history that twin brothers faced each other in the NFL playoffs.
Asked about his experience, Tristin grinned. “The lights are brighter, the situation is a little bit more intense, but it has been fun. We’re blessed to be in this position.”
Zyon who plays for the Buccaneers said “He told me it’s in God’s hands and to just take it day-by-day.”
Tristin, speaking of his brother, “… he was extremely over-the-moon happy for me. He’s going to be coming to the game, as well as our mom (Tisha McCollum, a former Ball High teacher). The support has been nothing but amazing. He’s just very, very excited for the game – probably just as excited as I am.”
