The Ball High Lady Tors earned 4th place at the District 20-5A Girls Golf Championship at Moody Gardens Golf Course March 25th and 26th by shooting a team score of 818 (416-402). These were the two lowest rounds all season. This brings the varsity Lady Tors season record to 78-47.
Mackenzie Mielsch led the Lady Tors by shooting a personal best 180 (91-89), which came in 8th place out of a total of 33 players. The rest of the Lady Tors were Parker Holland (203-(102-101)-10th) (personal best), Sara Jolin (208-(107-101)-12th) (personal best), Ivy Culling(227-(116-111)-T18th), Josie Lorenzo (234-(116-118)-T20th) and Dolores Salinas (246-(124-122)-24th) (personal best).
Mackenzie Mielsch qualified for the Region III-5A Girls Golf Championship in Montgomery at The Golf Club @ Margaritaville on April 15th-16th.
Friendswood won the team district title by shooting a team score of 618 (321-297).
Margaret Kerr of Friendswood won the individual district title by shooting 144 (74-70).
Mackenzie Mielsch and Parker Holland made 1st Team All-District while Sara Jolin, Ivy Culling and Josie Lorenzo made 2nd Team All-District. The Tor golf teams are coached by Golf Head Coach Mike Kleinecke.
