The Ball High Tors took home the 2nd place runner-up medals at the District 20-5A Boys Golf Championship at Moody Gardens Golf Course today by shooting a team score of 676 (339-337). These were the two lowest rounds all season. This qualifies the boys for regionals for the first time in over 30 years. The Tors lost the district title by one shot. This brings the Tors season record to 109-65.
Dylan Rowe led the Tors by shooting a 164 (82-82), which came in 4th place out of a total of 50 players. The rest of the Tors were Aeden Jones (172-(90-82)-T9th)(personal best), Parker Koza (173-(90-83)-T12th)(personal best), Sully Mixon (177-(87-90)-15th), Price Burnette (180-(93-87)-17th)(personal best), Charlie Kirschner (181-(80-101)-19th), Juan Santos (184-(96-88)-T22nd) and Logan Ashcraft (191-(93-98)-28th).
The Tors qualified for the Region III-5A Boys Golf Championship in Montgomery at The Golf Club @Margaritaville on April 17th-18th.
Friendswood won the team district title by shooting a team score of 675 (346-329).
Michael Butler of Friendswood won the individual district title by shooting 157 .(82-75).
Dylan Rowe and Aeden Jones made 1st Team All-District. Parker Koza, Sully Mixon, Price Burnette and Charlie Kirschner made 2nd Team All-District.
