Mackenzie Mielsch competed in the Region III-5A Girls Golf Championships the past two days in Montgomery at The Golf Club of Margaritaville Lake Resort. Mielsch shot a total score of 193 (95-98), which came in tied for 34th place out of a total of 83 players.
The top three teams qualified for the State Championship (Lake Creek, Montgomery and Friendswood). The top three players not on those top three teams qualify for State (Carly Sherman-Bastrop-155 (78-77); Raylea Kunkel-Brenham-160 (79-81); Lilly Raymond-Kingwood Park-164 (84-80).
Mackenzie Mielsch came in 19th place for the State Qualifier. Again, the top three players not on the top three teams make it to state. Congratulations for a stellar season!
