This past Saturday Ball High upperclassman spiraled down an enchanting rabbit hole at this year’s Wonderland themed prom. Hosted at Moody Gardens Convention Center, the evening offered “mad as a hatter” opportunities to have fun and enjoy the prom as the seniors end their high school days.
As soon as the guests walked into the dazzling ballroom, they were transformed into another dimension, one illuminated by low lights and radiantly glowing tables with candles and mossy décor. Food tables lined the walls, and the ball itself offered many photo opportunities to create a memory to take with the participants through the years, including treasured photos with King London Deyon and Queen Honesti Smith.
Upon entering the ballroom, a guest felt as if they had walked into the Queen of Hearts realm in person. When the students poured in and rushed to the dance floor, they truly made it a night to remember dazzling dancers performing iconic dances like the Cupid Shuffle, the Wobble, and Gangnam Style; the dance floor seemed alive, filled with friends laughing and showing off their best moves.
As the night ended, and students slowly filtered out, everyone could agree that Prom 2025 was one for the ages.
Senior Dyonica Helpenstill enjoyed the setting. “It was very pretty and I h ad a good time, but my feet were hurting from all the walking and dancing in high heels.” Alli Jones-Castro said It’ was fun and enjoyable. The teachers weren’t in your business like they usually are.”
Senior Miaha Mendoza said she had fun. “The fixtures were good, the photos were really good and it was really pretty. I had a ball at the ball!”
