In recent years, there has been a massive increase in the use of AI in people’s lives – especially schoolwork. People began using AI for small things, such as checking over an essay, making sure their work was written correctly and verifying if they were doing something right. But as months passed, the use of AI has become a prevalent tool in modern society.
In high school classrooms, the use of artificial intelligence seems to be bursting at the seams, as just last year many teachers had their students using it to grade their own essays, rather than garnering the help of another student in the classroom to check over their work and see what changes should be made. As this steadily becomes more influential and overused, essays and even our competency with English itself slowly shrivels up and dies.
People around the world, and even in their college classes, have been said to have used Chatgpt a good sum of their work. The decline in someone’s original writing has steadily dropped, as AI has been a prominent aid in their academics. For many people, it may be hard to string words together, to get a feeling and truly understand what they want to write as they groan over a blank document; increasingly, their creativity withers and eventually they resort to the help of artificial intelligence without taking the time to really think about what would tie their story together. AI technology has advanced most in essay writing.
Writing without originality in one’s work restricts creativity, giving it a lifeless, and meaningless value as this person didn´t take the time to write and flesh out their stories. Using AI can otherwise hinder productivity, while inherently devaluing human skills and independent thinking.
