Ball High School makes a warm welcome to Kyle Giusti, the new head coach for our Tors baseball team. Giusti joins our Tor family with his outstanding coaching career right behind him including Summer Creek HS, Galveston Collage, Houston Baptist University, and University Of Arkansas- Little Rock. Giusti was also named coach of the year at Rotan High School in 2016.
Giusti’s College baseball career should not be overlooked, as a player he was a standout both at Abilene Christan University and Galveston College. Giusti graduated from Santa Fe High School in 2010 as a Three-year Letter winner at shortstop, Two-time first team all-district and all-country player, First team all-Houston area and Honorable mention all-state as a senior.
Giusti started off his college career over at Galveston College, in 2012 Giusti was a Texas and New Mexico JUCO all-star player, an All-conference and selection. As a freshman Giusti batted with a .333 with a .424 on-base percentage, then as a sophomore Giusti batted with a .384 in 2012 with 10 doubles and two triples, his junior year of college could be described as eventful, he started off as First team ABCA all-South Central Region, Honorable mention NCBWA all-region and First team all-Lone star conference. Coach Giusti has been named to the Abilene Christan University baseball all-decade team as well.
To say Giusti excited to coach our boy’s baseball team is an understatement “This year’s team is built around a strong core of hardworking, competitive young men who take a lot of pride in representing Ball High School and the Galveston community” Coach Giusti said “Our expectations are simple but demanding: play the game the right way, compete every day, and continue to build culture based on accountability, toughness and team-first baseball”, He ended his statement with saying “Our hope and goal for the season are to continue improving each day, compete for a playoff spot and put ourselves in position to play our best baseball at the end of the year, Our dream is to build something sustainable at Ball High a program our players, families, and community can be proud of long after the season”
We wish Coach Giusti a wonderful season and much to come!
