The Ball High Tors varsity golf team qualified for the Region III-5A Boys Golf Championships by winning the 2nd place team medals at the District 20-5A Boys Golf Championships in Galveston at Moody Gardens GC today by shooting a team score of 667 (329-338). This brings the Tors season record to 127-31.
Ty Marshall led the Tors by shooting a score of 158 (80-78), which came in 4th place out of a total of 45 players. The rest of the Tors were Dylan Rowe (159)(80-79-5th), Charlie Kirschner (175)(84-91-T16th), Logan Ashcraft (175)(85-90-T16th), Braydon Booth (178)(92-86-T21st)(personal best), and Aeden Jones (180)(88-92-24th). Marshall and Rowe took home 1st Team All-District Honors while Kirschner and Ashcraft took home 2nd Team All-District Honors.
Friendswood won the team district title with a score of 628 (313-315) and Cooper Payne of Friendswood won the individual district championship with a score of 150 (77-73).
