The Ball High baseball team (7-17-1) (1-10) took on the Santa Fe Indians (13-11-3) (5-6) in their last game of the season last Friday

, trying to knock the Indians out of the UIL playoffs and end the Tors’ season on a high note.
The Tors bid fell short in the bottom of the seventh as the Indians outscored the Tors 5-2 and ended the Tors season. Ball finished in the cellar of District 20 5A while Santa Fe met Angleton for the final district playoff spot.
Isaac Hommel started the game for the Tors and held the Indians to one run through the first four innings, but timely hitting and a couple of errors allowed the Indians to score three runs in the fourth to put the game out of reach and end the Tors’ season.
