The Ball High Boys basketball team took a tough loss against the Manvel Mavericks. The final score, 51-52, highlights Tors’ incredible effort against the Mavericks, fighting for the title of an undefeated streak in districts.
The entire game found the Tors and the Mavericks fighting for every point. The teams punched and counterpunched, but neither team was able to knock out the other side.
In the fourth quarter as the clock wound down, the Tors led 51-49 until number 10 on the Manvel Maverick shot a layup and a buzzer beater, making the Ball High Tors go home with a tough loss.
The final score was 51-52. Players tonight were Taj Petteway, Connor O’Donohoe, Phoenix Pope, and Jonah Williams. All the boys played a tough game tonight and are coming back strong for their game against La Porte at Home on January 12th at 7:00.
