The Ball Street Journal’s “Writer of the Year”, Taylor Albert, won medals in four events at the UIL Academic Championships in her first year of competition. Albert earned a second-place medal in Editorial Writing, a sixth-place finish in Copy Editing, a sixth-place ribbon in Headline Writing and a sixth-place ribbon in News Writing. Albert will compete in the regionals in Editorial Writing and plans to attend Texas A&M with a veterinary major.
