The Tors sent their UIL Academic meet at Friendswood High School April 6th and three Tors walked away winners!
Sophomore Magnolia Malzahn placed in two events, a third-place finish in Ready Writing and a sixth-place award in Literary Criticism. Malzahn will advance to the regional meet to compete against the state’s best in Ready Writing. She will be an alternate in the Lit. Crit. Category.
Junior Isabel “Izzy” Obert earned a second-place medal in Calculator Applications and will compete at the regionals along with senior Taylor Albert.
Albert earned a second-place medal in Editorial Writing, a sixth place finish in Copy Editing, a sixth place ribbon in Headline Writing and a sixth place ribbon in News Writing. Albert will compete in the regionals in Editorial Writing.
Regionals will be held at Fulshear High School April 27th.
