    SpaceX: Launch of Starship

Earlier this year on April 20th, SpaceX launched Starships, but the flight failed and underwent an investigation. The ship was in flight for several minutes before failing to separate from the Super Heavy booster. When the SpaceX team attempted to fix this issue, the rocket did not explode immediately as it was supposed to.

After the SpaceX team investigated the ship, the FAA did a final sweep of everything. They listed 63 actions the team needs to correct before it is able to be launched again. “A safety review is focused on issues that affect public health and safety of property,” the FAA stated regarding why they needed to investigate the issues of Starship.

The FAA will approve a license to launch again after they do an environmental review to see if the ship will have any environmental impacts upon launch.
